I would really appreciate if you can take a few minutes to read this.

To be honest I don't really want to bring up any politics-related onto dA. For a week, I've tried hard to restrain myself from expressing anything about this over here, but what's happening now in Hong Kong is already more than a matter or politics; it's a violation of humanities and civil rights.

Frankly speaking, I do not support the the whole occupying regime, but of course I respect their right to voice opinions. However, what depresses me most is the violence brought and approved by the Hong Kong POLICE, backed up by the Hong Kong government. Not to mention using tear gas against students and protestors who were UNARMED and CARRYING NO WEAPONS. (Though, HKPD listed umbrella and masks as dangerous items)

What is more frightening is that, seems that the HK government no longer consider protestors as human beings; HK gov is not protecting their human and civil right anymore.

The protest has been carrying out peacefully for days, until a crowd of anti-occupy people started trauma with violence. It is okay that if these people voice out their opinions against protestors. Yet, they "acted" it out. Beating, kicking, punching protestors. Many evidence, photos, eye-witnesses, videos, showing that these Anti-s are brutal and are organized.

What worse is that, polices are silently approving these mobs deeds. A female protester was being sexually harassed by one of the anti-s. However, while the accuser was being discharged, the female victim was being charged for attack since she kicked the man during the harassment. While protestors were being brutally beaten, police just sits back. People feel lost and heart-breaking. Their last bit of trust in the HK government and polices that, even with different political stands, their basic civil and human rights would still be protected, were now all gone as blood appears.
You can read more from this article:
Even holding a different political view, there is no way that I can agree to such violence and  injustice. 6000 miles away from the place, I don't know what I can do to help besides of typing on the net. Yet, I believe I bear the responsibility to expose what I saw to others and to the world, of such injustice, no matter how tiny my efforts are.

I urge you to please take a little time to sign or share this petition.

Petition: United Nations Security Council, please open a civil rights investigation of the political violence acts occurred in Hong Kong during peaceful protests

THIS IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS, BUT HUMANITIES.
Supports are never enough, please help voicing against violent political repression!!

I questioned where is justice when defenders of justice sided with the devil.
A voice answered "justice lies within yourself; it is in your heart and don't let others define the word for you."
Don't feel lost and despair when justice is no where to be found, because it is within yourself.

As a 香港人 (I refuse to say Hong Konger because wtf it sounds so stupid), I feel the same way as you. I don't support the whole Occupy movement even though I do support the message they're trying to say. My mom and I have at least 1 debate about this situation every day and frankly, we just want it to end because let's face it, they're 咗住個地球轉. People work hard in HK to earn a living to feed their families and they can't do it because of what's happening.
That being said, what the heck is wrong with the Anti's. Protesters against the government is one thing but introducing a third (and incredibly unnecessary) party is a whole different thing. Honestly I think because of this added violence, the protesters are responding with violence now too (I heard roughly 10 protesters surrounded a 40-50 year old anti man and beat/kicked him to the ground). Everything is just escalating to huge proportions.

And also, some HK university professor said Beijing isn't doing anything because they just want to "let the people of HK rot." In a way, I feel like it's kinda true but it's just so harsh, which ties into what you're saying about the gov't not treating the protesters as humans.

Signed the petition.
I do hope something will be done about this.
If anything, I hope Britain will do something about it because they're the other half of the equation when the treaty was signed in 1997.
It's more than just a protest now.
